Saopstenje za javnost Informativne sluzbe Generalstaba Vojske Jugoslavije

Povodom navoda sredstava javnog informisanja da je doslo do sastanka zastupnika nacelnika Generalstaba VJ general-potpukovnika Branka Krge i glavnog tuzioca Haskog tribunala Karle del Ponte, Informativna sluzba Generalstaba Vojske Jugoslavije potvrdjuje da je, na zahtev glavnog tuzioca Haskog tribunala, a na osnovu preporuke Saveznog ministarstva za inostrane poslove i po odobrenju predsednika Savezne Republike Jugoslavije, zastupnik nacelnika GS VJ general-potpukovnik Branko Krga, sa saradnicima, 19. novembra 2002. godine primio glavnog tuzioca Haskog tribunala Karlu del Ponte.

Na sastanku su razjasnjene dileme i nerazumevanja oko nadleznosti Vojske Jugoslavije i predocena je zakonska regulativa, prema kojoj Vojska Jugoslavije nije nadlezna da lisava slobode osobe koje se ne nalaze u njenom sastavu.

Nacelnik Uprave za skolstvo i obuku GS VJ general-potpukovnik Momcilo Momcilovic, povodom produzenja ugovora o zakupu Pasuljanskih livada, izjavio je za "Nedeljni Telegraf" da je "Vojska Jugoslavije vlasnik 138 hektara zemljista na Pasuljanskim livadama, a kao vojni poligon i streliste koristi svega tri hektara. Na tom delu poligona suma je, zbog upotrebe bojeve municije, degradirana i unistena. Tu stetu smo platili", izjavio je general Momcilovic. U tekstu pod naslovom "Plan za bazu postoji, ali na 138 hektara, koji su vlasnistvo VJ" general Momcilovic tvrdi...

Protivteroristicki odred "Kobre" VJ sutra ce na aerodromu Batajnica izvesti takticku vezbu spasavanja talaca iz otetog aviona i bojno gadjanje, a posle toga bice prikazani naoruzanje i oprema te elitne jedinice Vojske Jugoslavije.

Pripadnici 250. raketne brigade PVO obelezice cetiri decenije forminjanja te jedinice 24. novembra u Beogradu, otkrivanjem spomenika poginulim saborcima u agresiji Natoa na SRJ 1999. godine. Komandant brigade pukovnik Dragan Stankovic rekao je juce na konferenciji za novinare da je u agresiji na borbenim polozajima u siroj okolini Beograda poginulo devet, a ranjeno 13 pripadnika te jedinice. Njima u cast, u krugu kasarne "Banjica", bice otkriven spomenik i otvorena spomen-soba. Pukovnik Stankovic je napomenuo da su posade raketnih sistema "neva" pogodile 14 aviona i 10 krstarecih raketa Natoa, a "nevidljivi" F-117 i F-16 su i "prizemljeni". U naoruzanju jedinice nalaze se i prenosni raketni sistemi "silo" i "strela" i trocevni protivavionski topovi kalibra 20 milimetara.

Vojnici junske generacije 1. oklopne brigade ovih dana logoruju na poligonu "Pasuljanske livade", a nakon zavrsene obuke izvesce takticku vezbu s bojnim gadjanjem.

U Centralnom domu VJ veceras u 20 casova Tatjana Kecman izvesce komediju "Prekobrojna", radjenu po motivima bestselera Helen Filding "Dnevnik Bridzet Dzons". Cena ulaznice je 100 dinara.

"U ime vojnicke casti" naziv je knjige pukovnika Rada Rajica koja ce biti promovisana sutra u 13 casova u Centralnom domu VJ.

 

Public Announcement of the YA General Staff Information Service

Following the headlines circulating in the media that there has been a meeting of Yugoslav Army's acting Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Branko Krga and the Hague Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte, the YA General Staff Information Service confirms that, upon the request of the Hague Tribunal Chief prosecutor, the recommendation of the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry and the approval of The Yugoslav President, Yugoslav Army's acting Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Branko Krga, with his aides, received the Chief Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal Carla del Ponte on November 19th 2002.

The meeting discussed the unsolved dilemmas and misunderstandings over the jurisdiction of the Yugoslav Army stressing the legislative regulation, according to which the Yugoslav army does not have the authority to deprive the persons who are not among its ranks of freedom.

Following the lease extension for Pasuljanske livade proving ground, in a statement to "Nedeljni telegraf" Weekly, Head of the YA General Staff Department for Education and Training Lieutenant General Momcilo Momcilovic said that: "The Yugoslav Army owns 138 hectares of land on Pasuljanske livade, and uses only 3 hectares of it for the military proving ground and firing range. Due the use of live ammunition, the forest is in this part of the proving ground degraded and destroyed. We paid for the damage", said General Momcilovic. In the article entitled "There is a plan for a military base, but on 138 hectares - property of the Yugoslav Army" he claims...

The YA Anti-terrorist squad "Kobre" will perform a tactical drill - hostage rescue from a hijacked plane - and live ammunition shooting tomorrow at the Batajnica airport. Following the drill, the arms and equipment of this elite YA unit will be displayed.

Members of the Air Defence 250th Rocket Brigade will mark their 40th anniversary on November 24th in Belgrade by unveiling the monument to the fellow soldiers who died in the Nato aggression on FR Yugoslavia in 1999. Commander of the brigade Colonel Dragan Stankovic said at the press conference yesterday that in the aggression on positions in the wider area of Belgrade suburbs, 9 members of this unit had been killed, and 13 had been wounded. In their honour, in the area of "Banjica" barracks, a monument is to be unveiled and a commemoration room opened. Colonel Stankovic said that the "neva" rocket system crew shot down 14 Nato airplanes and 10 cruising missiles, and "landed" the "invisible" Stealth F-117 and F-16.

June Class soldiers from the 1st Armoured brigade are currently out camping on "Pasuljanske livade" proving ground. Following the completion of the training they will perform a live ammunition shooting drill.

A comedy "One Two Many", based on Helen Fielding's "Bridget Jones' Diary" best seller, will be performed by Tatjana Kecman in the YA Central Club tonight at 8 p.m. The admission fee is 100 dinars.

"In the name of military honour" is the title of the book by Colonel Rade Rajic, to be promoted tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the YA Central Club.
