No I meant at the SIMH level - sort of like the serial mux on the VAX inbound and maybe a “modem emulator” port outbound, like in DOSbox (you can basically “dial” a telnet connection a la “ATDT foo.example.com:1234”)
I know this code isn’t in there but how hard would it be to add something like this from the main SIMH codebase?
