Right. It's not.
And it only works under Windows. So my weapon of choice it xterm.

But for most people, something like Putty works well enough.

Rather recently I found the "Tera Term Project Page" [1] by chance:

But I can't comment on the program's quality so far. At least there seem
to be several localized versions.

TeraTerm also works. Same deal. If you are picky, then there are a couple of issues, but for most people it works well enough.
