What version of Mac OS are you running? I have XQuartz 2.7.11 on my Mac OS X
10.11.6 system, and it wouldn’t let me remap the keys. I used to use the xterm
on Mac, Linux, Solaris, AIX, and IRIX with the remap script.
All kind of versions. I never do any explicit remapping of keys. There
is no need. It works right as it is.
I’d tried ZOC7, and a couple other solutions, before settling on SecureCRT. I
have to have a properly functioning keypad. Even then I still have a DEC
VT420, plugged into a DECserver sitting by my Mac. I love my VT420’s, but at
times I like to be able to cut and paste. :-)
I also need the keypad. Both when I have to hit EDT, and also for some
other programs. xterm works just fine.
