DSW,

I'm rather flattered that you've used my timeline as a template for yours;
however, the itinerary project evolved over time as did my still very
scant js skills. You're very brave to write a new Ether painter, mine came
courtesy of David Huynh and I'm afraid I can't comment on it
substantively.

On the other hand firebug (an invaluable tool, especially for the clueless
like me) in FF reports:

ReferenceError: updateMap is not defined "XmlHttp: Error handling
onReadyStateChange"

my tl.loadXML() function called updateMap() in order to initialize the
link between the timeline and the map. Your timeline doesn't have this
function. I'm surprised that Opera ignores it, but both FF and Safari
chokes on it.

Also, the onUnload="GUnload()" and the onResize="onResize(); handlers in
the html body tag were there for handling the google map as well, and as
far as I can tell, your timeline requires neither.

Hope that helps,

Jon
