The timeline project includes a small webserver called Jetty (use the timeline_source.zip file) a) install the Java runtime from Sun DO I GET IT ONLINE? Yes, google for "Java" b) unzip timeline_source.zip to an install directory I'M A MAC USER: WHAT IS AN INSTALL DIRECTORY? When you click on the file in the mac, it will unzip to your desktop. In that case, your desktop is your install directory c) Open a shell or command prompt to the install directory and type: HOW DO I OPEN A COMMAND PROMPT? On the Mac is called the terminal. Use the spotlight application to find it. After you open it, you will need to change directories to your desktop or wherever the software was installed. [win32]> run [unix/macosx]> chmod +x run; ./run and then point your browser to http://127.0.0.1:9999/timeline/ THANKS AGAIN My guess is that you will need additional help beyond what is above. Best suggestion is to consult with your local computer guru.
