Another possibility is that we could modify the Exhibit source so that  
it looks for its files in the Google Code hosted site. I think some  
other projects do this. Basically you create a tag of the project  
called "CURRENT" and always have that point to the "official" current  
release. Then people just hot-link into the HTTP-accessible CURRENT  
branch tag of the repository.

This is exactly what Chris Musialek has done with his "Unbox" tool for  
MediaWiki and Fabian Howahl has done with Semantic MediaWiki. Fabian  
posted about the latter on the Haystack blog today:

Hopefully this will greatly expand the visibility of both projects and  
get a lot more users / developers. If you're interested, definitely
