Ryan is right in saying all that but to simplify: there is nothing in 
the license that stops you from selling code that contains BSD code as 
long as you don't remove the license and respect the copyright of code 
that you didn't write.

Also, of course, you can't really "sell" the ownership of code you don't 
own (the simile widgets code), you can only pass it along with the same 
license we gave it to you with.

But for the code you own, you can do whatever you want with it.

Unlike the GPL, the BSD license won't tell you what to do with your own 
code.
