Does anybody know how to use setDatasource in the timeline helper?

I am confused about the how the model should look like and also the
database structure.
if not, does anybody know where I should put the example1.xml inside a
cakephp project?
Timeline.loadXML("example1.xml", function(xml, url)
{ eventSource.loadXML(xml, url); });
