90% of the time there is a misplaced "'" or '"' somewhere in your XML file.
It usually manifests itself in: She's a great teacher. I would start there. The big problem with timeline and XML is when there is a problem, the browsers "fail silently", and give you no clue as to what is wrong. Therefore, you can work all day on something and then, bam, a blank browser screen with no clue about went wrong. What I do is run timeline to a place where it is working. Then if I want to change anything I zip up the whole directory first. Then when I start tinkering with it and mess it up, I just unzip my last "baseline". I may zip up my development directory several times a day.
