Q #418: What is meant by a "reflection of love"?

If there is no love in this world, how can you tell what is a reflection of love? Many students of A Course in Miracles I know run around saying they are "extending" love. They do this by acts and deeds and thoughts. This doesn't seem to be what the Course is saying. If there is no love in the world, how can one extend love in the world? I can understand there being no love in the world since God is Love, and God knows not of this world. But this reflection thing seems to hang me up. Can you help? ==========
The world in which love is not, is not real, but is an interlocked complex of or set of perceptions, which includes agreements at many perceived levels. The real world (which is spirit itself) actually IS love, and therefore obviously has love in it everywhere.
You are in the real world of love, perceiving being in a loveless world. Within the perception set we refer to as the dream or perceived world, are clues and cues to the single unforgettable memory of self as spirit (that which cannot be obliterated as the facim post correctly suggests). Those clues and cues in the dream are everywhere available for whosoever will look upon the dream in remembrance of the real world of love (sometimes called Christ). In fact, the entire and only value of the dream, and the reason for which it is facilitated, is these clues and cues...which are like unto light shining through the cracks in our faulty perceived world and its faulty belief system(s), and are the means of atonement. Thus, to look upon the dream and its clues and cues aright (in remembrance of spirit), forgives it and them, and facilitates looking beyond it.
When recognized, these clues and cues (perceptions with potential recognition) are elevated to aligned perception (miracles)...for that perception which no longer resists the truth suggested by its correlated clue or cue, is the dreamside equivalent of it, for it directs attention correctly to spirit. Were the entire set of clues and cues to be recognized and thus activated or actualized in mind as miracles, one would be perceiving the happy dream. And with zero resistance to the whole knowledge of God, the so-called final step by the father (or the reality behind atonement itself) would automatically be invoked and the dream would vanish, for the mind would perceive no subtantial differences between dream and reality, and no conflict of desire (meaning desire would no longer operate from a perception of lack).
In short, miracles...or recognized clues and cues within the dream...are then correctly called reflections of the reality of love. Note that the imagery of the aligned perception is not the same as the reality in the sense that would suggest that dream images are reality, for the reality itself is not about transient imagery and partial concepts, etc. Instead, these miracles, although unreal in and of themselves, function the same as love in that they point toward looking at spirit. And that is the foundation of love...looking from all creation to all creation, each view seeing the inner substance of the father in the son thus looked upon...a holy spirit indeed. There being no substantial difference, it is clear there is no difference at all, for there is no difference in (or resistance to) meaning (which "meaning" IS love itself).
