Hi,
Would it be possible to add the SIMS's smtp session ID to the headers of
incoming email messages, e.g. "SMTP-442"? That would make it much easier to
collate mail log entries of multi-day/month (even multi-year) spam
runs. Right now SIMS has the ESMTP id number (e.g. "with ESMTP id
S.0000180787 for <[delete]>") which allows me to find it easily in the mail
log but it's a several step process:
Read the SIMS date stamp in the email header,
        open the appropriate log,
Find the ESMTP id number in the log and thus the SMTP id number,
Re-display the log filtered on the SMTP ID.

It'd be handy if there could be an option for SIMS to put in a header line
like:
"X-SMTP-log-info: $date $smtpid" (e.g.: "X-SMTP-log-info: 2001-04-19 SMTP-425")

I make individual mailboxes for separate spam runs that are often multiple
megabytes long. If the above header line was in each of the messages, I
could easily set up a parsing (grep) script that would automatically find
all the relevant log entries for the entire run.

On a related but off topic note...if anyone else located in California has
received "free beeper/satellite tv receiver (by calling a toll free
number)"-type spam or the "Lower you Mortgage"-type spams, contact me off-list.

Thanks again Stalker for the most excellent software and support!

Joe
