This problem disappeared for me (and David Stodolsky, who also reported the
problem) when I:
1) Used CommuniGator->General Settings to set the "Delete Failed Messages"
value to "3 days" (I think that's what I set it to).
2) Used CommuniGator->All Messages to view the queue, used "Edit->Select
All"
to highlight all the messages, and then "Message->Delete" to delete all
the
messages in the queue.
After that, the messages were properly deleted; the "S.xxxxxxx deleted" log
entry
immediately follows the "...delivered to [accountname]" entry.
David and I thought we'd try to re-invoke the problem and bumped the "Delete
Failed Messages" setting back up to "2 weeks", but my SIMS is still deleting
the
messages just fine. BTW, I'm still using SIMS 1.7, although David is/was
using
SIMS 1.8b8.
One difference to note between my case and yours, though: In my case, until I
did the above two steps, my instance(s) of SIMS _never_ deleted messages --
they
just piled up in the queue from day 1. This happened on two separate
installations
of SIMS (1.7b1 and 1.7). I'm not sure about David's case, perhaps he can
enlighten us.
Give the above steps a try. I'd be interested in knowing if it fixes your
problem.
