I have used SIMS for some time and love it! Just switched to SprintION service and love it, too! But now a strange problem with DNS and email headers... My DNS used to be registered as lambdaent.com. In reregistering, I was informed that using the same address for DNS, the web, and mail was not recommended. This also complies with common usage. So I registered NS1.lambdaent.com as the DNS. The main domain name in SIMS is lambdaent.com My MacDNS has NS1.lambdaent.com as the Perm, with aliases to mail.lambdaent.com, lambdaent.com and www.lambdaent.com Router in SIMS are: mail.lambdaent.com = lambdaent.com NS1.lambdaent.com = lambdaent.com My email program (Outlook Express) has the mail server set to mail.lambdaent.com Now, some mail goes out and/or comes back with NS1.lambdaent.com in the sender and/or recipient. No where in Outlook Express is this set. SIMS is somehow attaching this. An account for salm ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is set in SIMS, with all unknown forwarding to it. If I send mail: FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED] TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED] the headers are fine If I do the converse: FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED] TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED] it is received: FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED] TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm sure there are too many variables in the soup.
