download and unstuff 1.8b8, shut down your 1.7 (just go to its file menu
and choose quit.)
Drag the 1.7 app to the trash (JUST the application, nothing else). Drag
the 1.8 application to where the 1.7 app was... double click 1.8.
That's it... nothing else, it is upgraded.
Now you can log into it and adjust some of the newer anti-spam features.
