A school customer of mine uses Norton Anti-Virus for Gateways.

It receives the mail and scans it and then forwards to SIMS for delivery.
FirstClass is what they actually use internally, but NAV and SIMS handle the
scanning and sending operations.

NAV gives you the ability to scan email for Windows viruses as well as
blocking all attachments of a certain type (.vbs).  We block all .vbs
attachments since there is VERY little legitimate need for them at this
site.

You'd have to find a PC (with NT or Win2k) to run it and get it from a
reseller I think.  We run it on a Compaq iPaq legacy-free, P500,128MB and
it's never missed a beat.  Would run on far less I'm sure.
