Ok, here is a puzzle. I used to host a site on my computer - mail as well as DNS, and web services.
The client moved the hosting service to Verizon. Now, apparently, I am the only person in the world who CANNOT send email to him!! (Note, I CAN receive email FROM him) MY posts, addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] are bounced back to me, with Outlook 2000 giving the message: "THe message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server: Server Response: 550 <user unbown> error number 0x800ccc79 While the SIMS log shows: 23:22:20 3 SMTP-018(AthlonHost) Failed to verify. Real address is [64.114.105.30:2682] 23:22:22 1 SMTP-018([64.114.105.30]) SPAM? Recipient '<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>' rejected: user unknown 23:25:23 3 SMTP-019(AthlonHost) Failed to verify. Real address is [64.114.105.30:2686] 23:25:24 1 SMTP-019([64.114.105.30]) SPAM? Recipient '<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>' rejected: user unknown This is a refusal to accept the message for delivery to ANOTHER COMPUTER, because the 'user is unknown' on MY COMPUTER. -totally confused. Have checked and neither SIMS, nor my DNS, nor Firesite Virtual domain manager is still carrying this domain. Note: 64.114.105.30 is my current dial up IP - of my home computer (which is an Athlon). Note - all my other mail services function normally - I can send and recieve other mail 'around' this message during the same session. However any message to this address gets rejected by SIMS. This is NOT a bounce back from the remote (Verizon) computer - it happens during 'send mail'. ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
