I wondered if anyone (Dimitr?) knew how SIMS handles DNS caching. We run all our own DNS. I changed an MX record for a domain and it took a number of hours for SIMS to pick up the new MX record. The TTL of the original record was 860 seconds. Something tells me that SIMS ignores this TTL.
Wouldn't it be best to honor the TTL? (The SIMS box is using one of our primary UN*X name servers so I know it was getting the right MX record the whole time.) -- Joe Laffey | Want to convert subnet masks between different LAFFEY Computer Imaging | notations, or figure the number of IPs in a block?
