I have the same setup and I've been using MAPS RBL+ for several months now. Let me know if you have any questions. You can be fairly certain that everything is working properly if you see mail being rejected in the logs with notes referring to the RBL. I believe there's also a site (referenced in the MAPS RBL "how to use" section) which will try to send you mail as a test. I.e., the site is deliberately in the RBL for testing purposes.
