In the interest of accuracy: ORBZ was shut down because after its tests crashed a server owned by the city of Battle Creek MI, the owner of ORBZ was made aware that he was under criminal investigation for that attack. He shut down of his own volition. FWIW, it seems that BC is not going to try to press charges. Hopefully Ian will reconsider how ORBZ is run if and when he decides to bring it back. IMHO testing without prima facie evidence of a machine being an open relay is hard to justify ethically or legally, and the sort of tests that poked that Lotus bug are hard to justify unless you have evidence that spam has been relayed using exactly such methods. (basically, using an address on the relay as the return-path) -- Bill Cole [EMAIL PROTECTED] ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
