Sorry, but I've lost track of the original request here. However, if you are running WebSTAR and SIMS then you should be able to do all of this with the "formmail" plugin in WebSTAR. In a similar manner, I use a Tango TAF to gather the form info and then write a file directly into the SIMS "submmitted" folder. It works flawlessly and has the huge advantage of not exposing any email addresses to harvesters.
