Since SIMS is simply a straightforward SMTP MTA, filtering message content
is not really in its job description. In fact, SIMS doesn't look into the
bodies of messages at all. So no, SIMS by itself cannot block attachments
of any sort, viri or otherwise. However, there was a discussion on the list
a while back about using tools like Norton Anti-Virus to monitor SIMS
accounts folder -- when messages arrive, NAV scans them before SIMS
processes them further. I've never done this myself, so someone else on the
list will have to chime in with details.
