My recollection was that someone said they had done it, but that was a
while ago and my memory for things like this is somewhat less than perfect.

If you've got an OS X (or other *nix) box available and some extra cash,
you might consider Communigate Pro -- I believe it has some provision for
virus scanning. Also EIMS may be able to do it.
