I don't think this is a hardware issue as quitting the application and
re-launching it will clear the problem without reboot. Not all of SIMS is
deaf either SIMS will stop responding to POP queries but still respond to
SMTP or HTTP responses. Usually if let running after the first the first
problem it will stop responding altogether.
