Hello, This is the reason for closing a connection, reported by OpenTransport:
54 ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer The connection was closed by the POP3 client without terminating the POP3 protocol session properly. This used to happen with some Microsoft mailer apps and does not cause loss of the mail. on 06.09.2002 21:26, Chris Wagner at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > P.S. - It seems to me that the majority of the lockups on this box have been > in the middle of SMTP connections. > > >> From: Chris Wagner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >> Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (SIMS Discussions) >> Date: Fri, 06 Sep 2002 12:23:25 -0500 >> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (SIMS Discussions) >> Subject: What does this mean? >> >> I am continuing to fight the box that SIMS is running on not locking up. >> >> It's still freezing and as far as I can tell, SIMS seems to be the app that >> is active at the time it freezes. >> One of the users commented to me just a couple of minutes ago after she >> realized it has locked up that she saw an error on the SMTP monitor and I >> asked what it said. >> >> She couldn't remember exactly, but I did look at today's log and noticed >> that my IP was showing up an awful lot with errors. >> >> Can someone help me out understanding this? >> >> >> 09:01:49 3 POP-092([10.1.1.5]) Abort Received, reason=54 >> 09:01:49 3 POP-092([10.1.1.5]) Reading Failed.
