It is rumored that on or about 2003-02-10 9:54 PM -0800, Mark Hartman wrote as follows:
The only difference that immediately jumps to mind is that the "bounce"
message will originate from a remote server, not from their own server.
I sent 4 test message to "myself" as follows:
1) <nobody> a non-existent account
2) <full> an account with a 0K mailbox
3) <closed> an account with Account Enabled unchecked
4) <test-list> an account with a mailbox and a mirror to <closed>

Note that in test 4 I have SIMS insert the mirrored-by message which gives away the scam. If it was not inserting the message, it would look like #3.
