I'll have to figure out how to use this. I am in a current situation where AOL users are frustrated with Macjodomo's block MIME attachments option that I incorporate on my mailing lists...this is especially frustrating since most versions of AOL since about version 5 or 6 will not even allow plain text sending of email. I have heard that at least AOL version 9 has addressed this tho'. Thanks for posting.

I've adapted Alex Wetmore's stripmime script for use with SIMS and

This allows for the automatic stripping of attachments and some simplistic

they are redistributed.

It's come in quite handy with the mailing lists we run on our server.

If you'd like to take a look at it, get it from
http://redbomb.com/stripmime/stripmime-sims.txt

Some brief setup instructions (SIMS account creation, SIMS Router
configuration) are in the comments at the top of the script.

Incoming messages are directed to a folder where they are processed by
this script and resubmitted to SIMS for delivery to their original
destination.

I saved it as a MacPerl droplet application and put it in my Startup Items
folder.

Hope somebody else finds this useful!
