There's at least one person on this list who's reported running SIMS
successfully under Classic, although I don't think we've heard from him in
a while so I don't know what his experience might be with Jaguar or
Panther. IIRC, the big caveat is that you run into problems if you need to
have a Classic app talk via TCP/IP to an app on the OS X side of the same
machine. At any rate, I'd think that if you're going to migrate to OS X and
don't have a specific reason to stick with SIMS, you should seriously
consider switching to a *nix MTA. Sendmail is included with OS X versions
up through Jaguar, and Postfix is included with Panther. Among other
reasons to migrate, SIMS has apparently reached the end of its development
life and will almost certainly not keep up with any new anti-spam widgets
that may come onto the scene.
