Now that I have solved my Tango/SIMS scripting problem, I have a new head scratcher.

The Tango scripts create email files and drop them into the SIMS submitted folder. SIMS then dutifully sends the mail. Because the mail is being sent "by a robot" and I don't want to get replies, I created a SIMS account called "blackhole" that was set to simply discard mail. The Tango mail is then set to come FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Evidently some people WERE replying and then they got mad because I wasn't answering. I couldn't, because their reply had been swallowed by the black hole (as intended). So, clever lad, I changed the source to FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED], a non-existent account, expecting that replies would bounce with "unknown user". To my surprise, SIMS refused to SEND the mail, presumably because the FROM account did not exist. Is there no way to send mail *via the submitted folder* that comes from nowhere?

I have three possible solutions and I don't like any of them:
1) Change "blackhole" to an active account with a zero K mailbox - replies bounce with "mailbox full"
2) Change "blackhole" to an inactive account - replies bounce with "account inactive" (or equivalent).
3) Set a REPLY-TO to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - the problem with this is that many mailer-daemons ignore them, so bounces from sent mail will go to the FROM account.

Is there another more elegant solution for sending out mail from nobody?
