one of my SIMS servers has developed bad sectors in its hard drive. As a result, I've decided now is the time to move ahead with my desire to move to a different mail server (meanwhile, my current one is running on spit and band-aids, so I probably have to move fast or I'll be forced to fix it).
My only reasons for wanting to move on are: 1. content filtering, so I can start bouncing viri or spam at the server level based on email content (ie: disallow attachments of certain types, bounce emails with certain words in the headers, that kind of thing), and 2. better multiple domain support. What server product do others recommend? My only requirement is that it be free (or darn near it). I'm not platform, nor OS loyal. Of course I'd love to move on to Stalker's commercial product, but there is no $$ available for such an adventure (possibly when I do my other mail server as it is for a real company... but that's much further down the road). I've been thinking of Postfix or qmail, and I think I'm leaning towards Postfix at the moment... but I've really only just started researching it. I'd love to hear what others have used or moved to that fit my 3 requirements (content filter, multiple domains, free/ultra cheap), and how well they do each of them. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
