I have 68k Macs, PPC Macs, and assorted x86 boxes available. As well as OS versions of all sorts to run on the above. And as for the cost of my time, alas, the projects this server is for, yes, I have to consider my time free... because it is the only thing I have available to contribute to it (I have ZERO available dollars for it, if I was forced to spend money, I'd have to shut the server off and be done with it). >I've always thought that SIMS' handling of multiple domains was pretty >nicely implemented. I actually don't mind SIMS' multiple domain support. It only takes a moment to explain to users how to configure their email to deal with it (they always get confused when I first tell them they have a prefix that needs to be added to their username for collecting their email... but once I explain that the logon username and the email address don't have to be the same thing, they are always fine with it). I just need to do multiple domains, so whatever I move to has to have some kind of support for it. SIMS' style is acceptable to me. >I can't do it as easily with Postfix and Apple's >super duper GUI front end on OS X Panther Server. I haven't yet installed my copy of Panther Server for lack of an available G3 just yet. I'll mark one 'nay' towards it. If I don't get any postive reports, then I won't worry about getting a broken iMac I have available running. >Your cheapest and easiest way to go may very well be to get a new HD >for your current machine. If it wasn't for the desire for content filtering, I would NOT be leaving SIMS. It isn't a cost issue on the replacment drive, I have those available already. And certainly replacing the drive will be much faster and easier then moving to a different server. But that won't solve the content filter issue that I am after. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
