Well, it's fine by me if those who actually develop on it prefer
something else than what's been there (which was just pretty old CVS
only anyway), no problem with that, at least not as long as I'm not
supposed to actively take part.

But I've constantly got the impression that those who are doing the
development work were simply waiting for a mystical someone "above
them" to eventually debate their decisions, and somehow integrating
all that, or whatever.  However, there simply was nobody "above",
there's no Linus Torvalds here, no God, nobody else who would be
willing and able to fill in the place the active developers could look
up to.
