About 70% of Russians Want to Change Their Lives Completely
SAINT PETERSBURG, August 7. About 70% of Russians want to change their lives completely. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was the result of a nationwide survey carried out by the Public Opinion fund. 23% of respondents said they do not want 'a completely different life', 33% of which had higher education.
Among those who said they would like to live differently 38% said they dream of 'rising from poverty' and 'improving their standard of living.'
Finding work is the biggest problem for 15% of respondents while 7% said they would like to solve problems of accommodation. 3% said they would like to see good but inexpensive health care in Russia while 2% said the lack of free education is the biggest problem.
12% said they would like to sort out their personal lives. 6% said 'a different life' would mean stability and certainty about the following day.
The survey was carried out on August 2 and involved 1500 respondents from
both urban and rural areas of Russia.
