I don't know if this has been pointed out before (if so, please excuse
the repetition). I discovered that the document
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-sip-rfc2543bis-02.txt
Appears to be a bit different from the bis02 pdf document available
from
http://www.cs.columbia.edu/~hgs/sip/sip.html
With the latter having definitions for canonical forms, for example
whereas the former does not.
Perhaps the authors may wish to consider replacing the one that is in
the ietf draft repository if possible to avoid confusion.
