That all depends on the implementation of the protocol stack itself. One
can implement a protocol stack that is only for UAs, only for proxies, and
so on. Most stacks are general purpose and thus are presumably useful to
build any type of SIP entity.
>From our experience, if you model your stack correctly then most of its
internal components can stay the same in all types of SIP entities.
