First off, please do not cross-post questions. Questions on sip belong on the sip-implementors list ONLY. > -----Original Message----- > From: Nitin Kumar [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2001 2:03 AM > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > Cc: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'; '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > Subject: [SIP] Vocoder Negotiation > > > Hi, > > Is there anyway we can do only vocoder negotiation in SIP. The INVITE has each media stream listing a set of codecs offered for that stream. The 200 OK contains a subset, listing those which can be used for that stream for the call. Accept or Accept-Encoding do NOT refer to codecs in the media stream. They refer to negotiation of content of the SIP messages. -Jonathan R. --- Jonathan D.
