Hi,
I have a query on the following clarification.
1. in the section 4.2.6 REGISTER
Here it is "not mentioned" that registration for the "To" header,
SIP URL comparison should be done according to section 2.1, rather at one
point
in page-30 under "registering contact locations" it says -
"registrand, typically of the form
user@domain"
At another point in page-31, under "Removing Registrations", it tells -
"Registra-tions are matched based on the user, host, port and maddr
parameters."
& section 2.1 is "not just" comparing user, host, port & maddr params.
These things seems contradicting each other for the process of
registering a person
in the "To" header. Please clarify me, what exactly should be taken care in
the SIP URL
for registering & deregistering & reregistering a "To" header.
2. When "reregistering" the contact header already registered with
registrar,
is updation of the params in the contact header is additive or is it
fully replaced with
the new set of contact params.
additive - means the existing params are updated to new values, & new
params are added & the "old params
that are not in the reregistered contact header are retained".
fully replaced - means all the existing params are removed & updated by new
set of params in the
reregistered contact header.
please clarify,
thanx & regards,
Shetti
