I agree with you that REL can be mapped into a CANCEL..
But I want to find a way to convey REL "cause parameter" with CANCEL message.. 
In RFC 2543 and some related drafts, I could not find a SIP header which can properly 
convey a "cause" value in CANCEL request..

Does anybody have an idea on this??

 REL is mapped into a CANCEL if you haven't received the final response
 for your INVITE, otherwise you map it into a BYE. Note that you can also
 map it into BYE even if you have NOT received the final response yet.
