Implementors Hi, G.729 Annex B defines SID (Silence Indication) frames with payload Type 18 (same as g729) but with payload size 2 not 10 as g729 audio. How do I advertise In SIP/SDP that I support or does not support those SID frames?
If I get: m=audio 49170 RTP/AVP 18 Does it mean I can safely send SID frames? Or does it means I can not send SID frames to assure interoperability? I know that silence suppression is supported when it in a different format (payload Type) What if its in the same payload Type like in g729? What is the most up to date substitution for SDP RFC?
