The support of G.729 annex B can be indicated using the SDP "annexb" format specific parameter. This parameter is defined in "draft-ietf-avt-rtp-mime-06". For example:
m=audio 4567 RTP/AVP 18 a=rtpmap:18 G729/8000 a=fmtp:18 annexb=yes indicates that the sender can receive annexb frames whereas "annexb=no" would indicate the reverse. I believe that "yes" is the default. timm Shen, Eran wrote: > Implementors Hi, > > G.729 Annex B defines SID (Silence Indication) frames with payload Type 18 > (same as g729) but with payload size 2 not 10 as g729 audio. > How do I advertise In SIP/SDP that I support or does not support those SID > frames? > > If I get: > m=audio 49170 RTP/AVP 18 > > Does it mean I can safely send SID frames? > Or does it means I can not send SID frames to assure interoperability? > I know that silence suppression is supported when it in a different format > (payload Type) > What if its in the same payload Type like in g729? > > What is the most up to date substitution for SDP RFC? > > Thanks, > > Eran. > > Eran Shen > > Intel Corporation > Telecommunications and Embedded Group > P.O Box 58, Migdal Tefen, Israel > Tel: +972-4-9105020 > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > > _______________________________________________ > Sip-implementors mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors > > > _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors
