Hi, You are right, the setting of the connection address to 0.0.0.0 is no longer recommended. Instead, a two way media stream should be set to sendonly, or a one way media stream should be set to inactive for hold. This is done using the a=sendonly SDP attribute for a two way media stream.
The incrementing of the version in the o= field is not specific to call hold - this is done every time a UA makes a change to the SDP. This could be due to call hold, or it could be due to changing codecs, IP address, etc. Thanks, Alan Johnston WorldCom sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] At 08:12 AM 10/2/2002 +0800, =?big5?q?laputa=5Fpc?= wrote: >Hi! > > In the RFC 3264 described, it is not recommended to >set connection adress as 0.0.0.0 for hold call. > In the draft "draft-ietf-sipping-service-examples-02.txt", >it is to increment the the version value in the o= field of the SDP for >hold call. > > How much value should be incremented at the version value? > Is there a clear document described the detail implement issues? > > Thanks! > > > > > >< Cѳ Yahoo!_ > <http://tw.yahoo.com>www.yahoo.com.tw _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors
