Hello All, I am about to add DTMF tones to our SIP Bulk call generator and, because of speed and compatibility issues, I am looking for feedback on how most SIP product designers have gone about implementing this. From what I have gathered, RFC 2833 is specifically geared toward DTMF tones embedded in the RTP media stream which is my least preferred way of going about this. I have noticed that some people have discussed using the INFO method to carry DTMF tones but have not seen an example of how this is accomplished. I have also been told that it can be accomplished in the SDP payload but cannot find any reference to it in RFC 2327.
Does anyone out there have any examples of the latter two methods that they would be willing to share? Does anyone have any opinions/arguments as to what is the best way to implement this?
