Hi,

 According to the internet draft: draft-ietf-simple-presence-09.txt (section 8 "Example Message Flow") A UAC need not generate notify messages as long as a Presence server is co-located with a registrar. Is there a server which implements this, I mean one which generates notify messages on a PUAs behalf. This can greatly reduce processing on the client end.
If an XML based format like cpim-pidf is used then I think this set up is very good since all that a client needs to do is parse a notify body and interpret a user agent's presence information. The server will be responsible for actually generating this notify body on the user agent's behalf. Please let me know if any server implements this setup

The following illustration is from the draft mentioned above which illustrates the above setup

Watcher                Server                PUA
      | F1 SUBSCRIBE      |                    |
      |------------------>|                    |
      | F2 200 OK         |                    |

      | F4 200 OK         |                    |

      |                   |<------------------ |
      |                   |                    |
      | F5 NOTIFY         |                    |
      |<------------------|                    |
      | F6 200 OK         |                    |

Thank you,
 Regards,
 Sindhur.
