I also want to know why , In the RFC 2976 , it states:

"
The following are a few of the potential uses of the INFO message:

      - Carrying mid-call PSTN signaling messages between PSTN
        gateways.

      - Carrying DTMF digits generated during a SIP session.
"

Jade,
SIP INFO method cannot be used for DTMF and should not be used.

      See kpxml draft

Subject: [Sip-implementors] DTMF in SIP

Hi,

we use RTP to carry the DTMF , but we found that it was not reliable . We
want to use INFO to carry the DTMF message, but I am not sure if the RFC
2976 is obsolete since RFC 2543 is replaced by RFC 3261?

or can anyone give me other solutions on this problem.

Regards,
Jade
