As Jonathan as said some time back,

"Transporting DTMF in INFO is not an IETF approved approach for conveying
DTMF. It is a bad thing, in fact, for many reasons, not the least of
which is the fact that DTMF will get sent in the signaling path even
when no one cares, increasing proxy load uneccesarily."

These are the docs I am telling,
I am not sure if we have newer version of the drafts,

Jade,
SIP INFO method cannot be used for DTMF and should not be used.

      See kpxml draft

Subject: [Sip-implementors] DTMF in SIP

Hi,

we use RTP to carry the DTMF , but we found that it was not reliable . We
want to use INFO to carry the DTMF message, but I am not sure if the RFC
2976 is obsolete since RFC 2543 is replaced by RFC 3261?

or can anyone give me other solutions on this problem.

Regards,
Jade
