This is fairly old history, but I can't find archives that might answer the question and was hoping someone out there knows. I noticed between the 00 and 01 versions of draft-ietf-sipping-isup (now RFC 3398) back in 11/2000-4/2001, the mapping of an ISUP cause 18 to a SIP response was changed from 480 to 408. The change history was not specific as to the reason for this change. Does anyone know why?
