I have few questions regarding the delivery of caller's identity.
A UAC sends INVITE with from header as From: "Anonymous" <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;tag=9802748
Q1: Does it mean that UAC wants to be unhidden to untrusted SIP nodes or to the end user (called party ) or all? Q 2: In case when this INVITE is received with "Privacy: id" header , does it mean differently?
Q3: When a caller does not want to reveal his identity to callee, what should he send in INVITE to a trusted (outbond) proxy? Q3: When a caller has no problem to reveal his identity to end user, but does not want it to be seen by untrusted SIP nodes, what should he send?
Q4: If a proxy gets an INVITE from some other trusted proxy with a From header (shown above), P-Asserted-Identity header and WITH "Privacy: id" header , Should he pass P-Asserted-Identity header to called party UA (trusted to Proxy )? Q5. If a proxy gets an INVITE from some other trusted proxy with From Anonymous and P-Asserted-Identity header but WITHOUT "Privacy: id" header , Should he pass P- Asserted-Identity header to SIP UAS(called party)?
