It's for the secuirity. -----Original Message----- From: Poojan Tanna [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, September 09, 2005 7:54 AM To: sip-implemetors Subject: [Sip-implementors] SIP: TCP Vs UDP.
Hi, I am trying to understand as to what are the advantages of running SIP on TCP as transport layer compared to UDP. SIP as a protocol more or less handles retransmission of request. Is there any added advantage compared to running SIP on UDP. Thanks, Poojan. _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors NOTE: This message, including any attachments, may include privileged, confidential and/or inside information.
