Hello Sunil,

SDPs are case-sensitive unless a specific field defines otherwise.
>From page 6 of RFC 2327:

"An SDP session description consists of a number of lines of text of
the form <type>=<value> <type> is always exactly one character and is
case-significant. <value> is a structured text string whose format
depends on <type>. It also will be case-significant unless a
specific field defines otherwise. Whitespace is not permitted either
side of the `=' sign. In general <value> is either a number of fields
delimited by a single space character or a free format string."

Subject: [Sip-implementors] SDP Problem

Hi all,

Is SDP value send in any SDP parameter Case-Sensitive...??

For eg.

m=audio 8216 RTP/AVP 0 8 18 2 this is the way we generally send the SDP,

Suppose we send the value "audio" in the following format, should the
SIP stack accept the SDP value?

1. m= AUDIO 8216 RTP/AVP 0 8 18 2
2. m= AuDiO 8216 RTP/AVP 0 8 18

Also, are the other remaining SDP parameters Case Sensitive..???

Thanks,
Sunil
