Subject: [Sip-implementors] Network based mixing for conferencing

In SIP the 3 party conferencing is done by mixing the rtp of the two
calls on the endpoint anchoring the call.

Are there mechanisms in SIP where the media mixing
is done on the softswitch. This would require only one
rtp coming to the SIP endpoint and the softswitch
handling the rtp of the 3 parties in the conference.

Any call flows/references in this regard would be helpful.

Thanks
-Deepak
